Content authoring
We think content authors and developers have quite different skills, and we've designed our service with that in mind. That means a non-technical user experience for authors, focused on streamlining the tasks that you need to do on a day-to-day basis.
100% web based
All you need is a web browser and an internet connection, and you can update your website from anywhere, at any time. It's cross platform, so you can use a Windows PC or Apple Mac to taste.
Simple content editing
You can make page updates with a simple click-and-type interface, without messing up the site design or having to learn HTML. Metadata is added from a tab in the same visual page editor.
Pictures are content too
PostCMS has a built in image editor that allows you to resize, crop, flip and rotate images right from your browser, without having to install Photoshop.
You can upload multiple images in one go, by zipping them up first, and you can use workflow rules to automatically generate thumbnails.

Tag as you go
Tagging offers a simple alternative to taxonomic classification (although we support that too). You can tag pages or assets as you create them, and use those tags to automatically generate tag clouds or other navigation.
Use workflow to reduce repetition
Workflow rules can be set up to streamline your organisation's particular production cycle. Workflow triggers can be configured to peform tasks like: publishing related pages, updating images and other assets, creating or deleting content, creating entire new sections of the site, and sending email notifications.
Distributed authoring
Role-based permissions can be used to limit access to PostCMS for particular users. You can also set a "home folder" for any user, so that they can only access a single branch of the site. That means you allow people outside your organisation make limited updates, subject to your approval.
