Full-featured, flexible tools for managing your content
Basic content services
PostCMS provides the basic content services (sometimes called library services) common to any content management system, including check-in, versioning and audit history trails.
Dashboard
The PostCMS dashboard gives users a quick overview of metrics and activity relevant to their role, and can be further customised to suit your organisation‘s needs.
Page authoring in one window
Non-technical users can edit web pages using our WYSIWYG page editor, without having to learn HTML. Only the areas marked as editable can be updated, so that your design and brand guidelines are not jeopardised.

Unlike some solutions, PostCMS doesn‘t make you wait for a new edit window to open for each piece of text: you can just click and type directly in any editable area.
Metadata, tags and taxonomies
Using the metadata sidebar, authors can quickly enter tags and other metadata values for a web page, to help categorise the content for resuse. The metadata fields are completely customisable, and can vary from template to template.
You can connect particular metadata fields to predefined fixed taxonomies, so that authors can quickly select values with autocomplete.
Tags can be merged, renamed or deleted in the tag management screen.

Data entry
Web pages are not the only kind of content that PostCMS can handle. In more complex scenarios, it can be useful to assemble web pages from content components, or to store data like user-generated comments that will never be displayed as standalone pages. PostCMS provides form-based edit and moderation screens for dealing with this kind of data.
Blogging
PostCMS provides an optional, integrated blogging solution. As with web pages, you can customise the metadata fields attached to blog posts.
Content search
All content in PostCMS is fully searchable. Our full text search examines metadata and tags as well as the page content itself. PDF content is also indexed. Users can filter search results to drill down to the exact content they’re looking for.
Permissions
You can set read, write and delete permissions by folder or on individual pages, so that only authorised users can access or update content.
Assignment and approvals
Workflow rules can be configured to automatically enforce approval for updates. But users can also use ad-hoc assignment to request approval on any content.
Complex workflow
Developers can write complex workflow that automate repetitive processes, or connect to external systems.
Power user features
In the interests of keeping things as simple as possible for beginners, less frequently used tasks are accessed through right-click menus. There are keyboard shortcuts for many common actions. In list views, multiple selection lets you apply an action to many pages or files at once, avoiding a lot of tedious repetition.
Multiple sites
PostCMS can publish to multiple websites from a single account, including sites localised for other languages.
